Phil Fraher
President and Chief Executive Officer
Phil Fraher is president and CEO of Visual Numerics, Inc. with
overall responsibility for corporate strategy, worldwide management
and operations. He has extensive experience in software applications
for business intelligence, data delivery, high-performance computing
and engineering in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to Visual Numerics, Phil served as COO and CFO at Brightmail,
Inc. where he raised $35 million in venture capital and led Brightmail's
expansion into Europe and Asia-Pacific. Brightmail was purchased
by Symantec. He also held senior executive level positions at Reed
Business's Information Electronic Media Division and Dun & Bradstreet,
facilitating ecommerce company initiatives, data partnerships, and
mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Phil was a software
engineer at Exxon where he developed visualization software for
oil exploration.
Phil earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Auburn University,
Alabama and an M.B.A. from the William E. Simon Graduate School
of Business Administration at the University of Rochester. Currently,
he serves on the Advisory Board at the College of Computer Science
and Engineering at Auburn University, and the Executive Advisory
Board at the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration
at the University of Rochester. Phil also serves on the Industry
Advisory Committee of the SC international high performance computing
conference.

Sean Fitzgerald
Vice President of Technology and Consulting
As Vice President of Technology and Consulting at Visual Numerics,
Sean is responsible for leading the development and implementation
of strategy and vision for current and emerging technologies and
services.
Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Sean was the Vice President
of Product Development at the Masters Institute. At Masters, he
was instrumental in designing and delivering an online education
solution leading to a $100 million dollar valuation of the company.
Sean's business development and technology experience spans more
than 20 years in areas of healthcare, education, geophysics, power
engineering, network design, systems integration, and consulting.
Sean has worked with many technology partners such as Microsoft,
Novell, and Cisco.
Sean holds numerous industry-recognized technology certifications
in addition to a B.S. in systems administration and a M.B.A. in
IT Management.

Michael Zak
Vice President of Corporate Services
As Vice President of Corporate Services for Visual Numerics,
Michael is responsible for managing and directing activities in
IT Operations, Facilities, Human Resources, Production and Fulfillment;
and he has recently taken on a new role as manager of North America
Customer Care, and sales manager for Mexico and the Rest of World.
Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Michael worked at Commonwealth
Savings Association as the Assistant Vice President in Human Resources
Administration. His professional experience includes recognition
as Management MVP in 1999, various officer level positions for the
Houston Compensation Association and CCP from the American Compensation
Association.
Michael holds his B.S. in Business Technology from the University
of Houston and is working towards his M.B.A.

Andy McClure
Director of North American Sales
As Director of North American Sales for Visual Numerics, Andy
is responsible for revenue and sales strategy for US and Canada.
In his executive sales position, Andy drives and manages initiatives
with top major accounts. As part of the US Senior Management team,
Andy is also involved in worldwide sales training activities.
Prior to becoming the Director of North American Sales, Andy
managed U.S. accounting and was responsible for capital planning,
budgeting, and forecasting.
Prior to Visual Numerics, Andy worked at Sun Microsystems as
a Senior Product Manager where he was also responsible for forecasting,
profit and loss analysis, pricing, and business planning for the
mid-range server product line. Also, during his tenure at Sun he
was awarded a Quarterly Excellence Award for his development of
unique product offerings. Andy also held a number of positions at
Magnetic Technologies Corporation in Rochester, NY, including Manager
of Computer Services, Program Manager, and Plant Administrator.
Andy has his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Cornell University and his M.B.A. from the University of Rochester
William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration where
he was awarded Beta Gamma Sigma society membership and also earned
the Dean's Leadership Award.

Tim Leite
Director of Corporate Development and Education Sales
Tim Leite is the Director of Corporate Development and Education Programs for Visual Numerics, Inc. Tim is responsible for many of the product related corporate partnerships. In his education role he is responsible for establishing partnerships with academic institutions and facilitating the computational requirements of researchers and instructors within the academic community.
Tim has been with Visual Numerics for 21 years in various roles. He started as a mathematical programmer working with algorithms in the areas of linear algebra, transforms, nonlinear systems of equations, and numerical optimization. He was also responsible for optimizing algorithm performance for high performance computing systems. Other roles at Visual Numerics included Technical Support
Manager, Product Manager, and Software Development Director.
Tim received a B.S. in Mathematics and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Michigan State University and Tim is a member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).

Alicia McGreevey
Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing for Visual Numerics, Alicia manages
marketing operations for Visual Numerics worldwide, including public
relations, lead generation, events, advertising, web site and sales
tools development. As part of the Corporate Management Team, Alicia
is responsible for Visual Numerics’ marketing strategy.
Alicia brings over 15 years of experience leading marketing communications,
product management, and sales efforts for global technology companies
such as Lucent Technologies and U.S. Robotics. Prior to joining
Visual Numerics, Alicia was a Product Manager at Astracon, a start-up
network management company, where she was responsible for the company’s
flagship product and was involved in obtaining $25 million in venture
capital funding.
Alicia earned her B.A. in Mathematics from Skidmore College,
Phi Beta Kappa, and her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate
School of Business.

Margaret Journey
Director of Consulting Services
As Director of Consulting Services, Margaret is responsible for managing the consulting team and consulting projects, with an emphasis on analysis and visualization solutions for a broad range of
applications.
Over the years, she has worked in various technical positions within Visual Numerics including: product developer, development manager, program manager, product manager. Margaret has over 30 years
of experience in the software industry primarily focused on graphics and data analysis. She also served on the ANSI and ISO standards committees for computer graphics.
Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Margaret worked at the University of Colorado Academic Computing Center as a software engineer.
Margaret earned her B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Colorado.

Don Boughey
Director of PV-WAVE Engineering and Technical Support
As Director of PV-WAVE Engineering and Technical Support at Visual Numerics, Don is responsible for managing the PV-WAVE Product Development organization and the PV-WAVE Technical Support organization. These two organizations provide premium customer care for Visual Numerics clients and all PV-WAVE Training needs.
Over the years, he has worked in various technical positions within the Company including: technical support engineer, product developer, technical consultant and senior trainer for in-house and on-site product classes. Don has 25 years experience in the software industry primarily focused on system integration and graphics.
Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Don worked at the Larimer County Assessors office, Ft. Collins, Colorado in the computer mapping department.
Don earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Colorado State University.

Karen Dwyer
Corporate Controller
As Corporate Controller for Visual Numerics, Karen manages worldwide financial operations, including implementation of financial systems and processes, treasury management, budgeting and financial reporting.
Karen brings over 20 years of accounting experience to Visual Numerics with more than 15 of those years in a controller role. After beginning her career in public accounting, Karen moved on to specialize in the financial leadership of closely-held, growing companies where her challenges included process automation, error reduction, development of internal controls and system implementations in addition to financial management and reporting.
Prior to joining Visual Numerics, Karen worked for C. L. Thomas, Inc., Jefferson Wells, Intl., and Tri-Star Productions.
Karen earned her B.S. in accounting from the University of Houston.
